The Birmingham Stove and Range Co. began operations in North Birmingham, Alabama, in 1902-1989. While they specialized in wood-burning stoves, their cast irons were considered the standard in households across the country. They were creative and innovative in the production of cast iron. Many of their designs and techniques are still used today by many modern manufacturers.
