CHICAGO HARDWARE FOUNDRY HAMMERED FRYER WITH LID
The Chicago Hardware Foundry Co. began operations at its North Chicago factory in 1897-1971. Two ex-coworkers, E. P. Sedgwick and John Sherwin, founded their company to specialize in high-quality cast iron and enamel home goods. While their company remained relatively small, the product line was ambitious and beautiful. Dating their cast iron can be difficult since they never specifically marked their pieces.
