WESTERN IMPORTING CO HEART WAFFLE IRON
The Western Importing Company was founded by Alfred Andresen in 1893 in Minneapolis. They marketed household items and cooking utensils appealing to the regional Scandinavian immigrant population. While they were not an actual manufacturer, Andresen used other foundries, like Griswold, to cast his patented rosette, wafer, and heart-shaped waffle irons. The company was short-lived and closed in 1913.
