The Waxed Canvas used in Hardmill products has an overlooked history of ingenuity and a revolution of fabric technology. The waxed canvas you find on current camping gear, shoes, jackets, and much more uses Linseed Oil and Wax, sometimes bees or paraffin wax, to create a natural waterproofing and very durable.
To determine if you need to re-wax the canvas, put a few drops of cold water onto the area you cleaned. If the water beads up, the apron does not require more wax. If the water absorbs into the canvas, apply wax to the desired level.
